The Autonomous Women's Shelter is a safe house for women and children who have experienced violence. We offer help anonymously and free of charge.
The Autonomous Women's Shelter is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
What is the Autonomous Women's Shelter?
The Autonomous Women's Shelter offers refuge, protection, and multilingual counseling to women (the term includes cisgender and transgender women) affected by violence, and their children (of any gender up to 18 years of age), at any time of day or night. Anonymity, trust, equality, non-bureaucratic processes, and individual support are the foundations for improving life situations.
The women's shelter is open to women affected by physical, psychological, sexual, or economic abuse. Abuse against women can take many forms. We work with a pro-woman stance!
No one has to endure violence at home! We know how hard it is to take the step. We are here to support you!
